Course Overview:
THEORETICAL PRESENTATION
Our programme starts with an engaging presentation on the following topics:
Statutory Requirements
Duties of the Fire Warden
Hazards in the Workplace
Principals of Fire
Fire Prevention and Causes of Fire
Managing Evacuations
Running Fire Drills
Evacuation Procedures
VIDEO PRESENTATION
A short video presentation will be shown to demonstrate the speed and ferocity at which fire spreads. In the video, a fire is simulated in a staged living room showing the different stages of a fire.
SAFETY DEMONSTRATION
Our instructor will then lead programme participants outside to the assigned training area. The instructor will safely demonstrate how to use a fire extinguisher using the PASS approach.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
After the fire safety demonstration, course participants will have the opportunity to safely extinguish a simulated fire on our replica home and office equipment. All demonstration models are fired by propane gas, which is environmentally friendly, eliminates the burning of fuels and are easily controlled by on/off safety valves.
EVACUATION DRILL
To Conclude, the trainer will conduct a detailed briefing, outlining the essential elements of a successful evacuation. The Fire alarm will then be activated to carry out an evacuation drill. Afterward, the trainer will provide immediate feedback.
