Who is it for? It is suitable for all personnel

How long does it last? Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 

What is the maximum number of participants? 10 people per Training Session

What do I need to bring? All course materials are provided 

Course Overview:

1. Theoretical presentation:

Our Manual Handling Course starts with a presentation outlining the follow topics:
  • Manual Handling legislation
  • Identifying Workplace Risk Factors
  • Anatomy of the Spine
  • Identifying Unfavourable Ergonomic Conditions
  • Defining Manual Handling
  • Risk Assessments
  • Safe Principles of Manual Handling

2. Practical Demonstration and Feedback

Course Participants will then observe and perform the following 5 lifts, with feedback and support from their instructor to ensure safest practice:
  • 1. Ground Lift
  • 2. Bench Lift
  • 3. Pushing / Pulling
  • 4. Lifting to and from a height
  • 5. Team Lift
On successful completion of the course, an individual certificate will be awarded to each participant.
